Default working in coatesville living near philly

i just recently got offered a job in coatesville. i am a young person 22 yrs old and i would like to live in an area near philly because of the city and i know alot of people in the city. conshohocken looks nice and mapquest says the commute is like 40 min to coatesville. i feel like the commute wouldnt be that bad cause it would be going against all the traffic coming into philly. any other ideas for places to live? i would prolly live in a studio apt. cause im by myself. ive heard good things about manayunk. i also heard west chester but that is a little farther from philly. any ideas or suggestions?

Manayunk has a slightly younger crowd (more post-college, whereas Conshee leans more late 20s/early 30s).

Downside to Manayunk for you would be that it's a little further from Coatesville and it's actually within city limits, so you'd have to pay city wage taxes.

Pick your priorities I guess. Traffic will be kind of annoying either way as that stretch of 202 is pretty congested.

I'd recommend West Chester or Exton and go visit your friends in Philly on the weekends. West Chester/exton area is pretty nice and more than enough to do to keep you occupied. Philly to Coatesville daily commute would be pretty rough.

good luck

I agree with Rainrock. Because of West Chester University being located right there, the town of West Chester has a young vibe. Go spend a weekend and see what you think.
