I have lived in Hatboro for over four years and have found it to be a great place to raise a family. The Hatboro-Horsham School District is wonderful. The close proximity to 95 and the PA Turnpike make it a commuters dream. I myself work in Center City Philadelphia and only have to walk two minutes to the train station to catch the regional rail. I spend about 175 a month on transportation, some of my friends pay that in two weeks for gas alone!! If you live in the borough like we do, you have the luxury of sushi restaurants, family restaurants, italian restaurants, chinese restaurants, mexican take-out, McDonalds, Wawa, thrift stores, Produce Junction, an awesome bakery (Lochel's), Gamburg's furniture, a tattoo shop, 3 churches, gas station, Wine & Spirits and so much more, all within walking distance. I was concerned when I moved to Hatboro that my family wouldn't be accepted because we were interracial and Hatboro does have a prodominantly (almost 90%) white community; however, everyone welcomed us with open arms. The neighbors will help you out, the crime is low and my son fairs very well in school. (Did I mention the school is within walking distance too?!) If you want to go shopping, the Willow Grove Mall is only five minutes away by car.

The homes are reasonably priced and while you may have to do some updating, the houses are older very well built.

I agree. I live in Huntingdon Valley and love the area.
