Default Moving to Austin,TX from Philly, need movers!

Anyone have suggestions for Movers from Philadelphia to Austin? I keep hearing so may stories of moving scams.

It's a one bedroom apartment, but mostly boxes. I am selling the furniture.

Default any other recommendations for interstate movers?

Hello everyone:

I'm starting to plan a move out of Philadelphia to Washington State. Any other recommendations on interstate, full-service moving companies? The web is a minefield and I also don't want to get scammed (too badly).

Thanks.

If you mostly have boxes, have you thought about having UPS or FedEx Ground pick them up and ship them for you?

I don't know if they will go that far, but try Mambo Movers out of Philly. Lots of postitive feedback on them. I used them when I moved and while they showed up late, they were professional and great workers.

Yes I would look for a shipping company rather than a mover, but if you use a mover I think you'r supposed to find them at your destination rather than your departure point. Did you post in the Austin forum?
