We do look like San Francisco...if SF was dreary and poor. Oh well, I love all our row houses anyway...I like them better than San Francisco's as well.

Is this a joke? Pittsburgh getting respect from big brother?

Ive been to San Fran, believe me, I know the difference. Quit taking all the fun out of this! Plus, you might've changed StuckPa's mind up about coming to the Burgh. I see you didn't disagree about the STEELERS though.

I'm not the impressionable type as apparently many are here,I'm quite able to make my own decisions without being swayed by the opinions on this forum.
I've been around and will hopefully one day soon continue making my rounds.

Not a joke. I don't assume to speak for all of Philly, but I've personally never had anything negative to say about Pittsburgh. Granted, the Steel City has had its share of challenges over the years but what larger city hasn't?
Bringing this back to topic... I'm definitely not a Pittsburgh "wannabe" but I am a proud Philadelphian (whether or not I lived within the actual city limits for the majority of my life).

Yes it's much easier to be a Philadelphian from hundreds of miles away
Does that mean I can call myself a Virginian again?

I lived in the Philadelphia area all of my life until three years ago. And besides catching heat from co-workers now if the DC sports teams (especially the 'Skins ) happen to beat ours, then it's always just as easy.
Feel free to call yourself a Virginian... especially if that was where you were the happiest.

I think I just might do that
Even if I lived there only 2 years I feel that I clicked there the best.

Well, not to stump for the "other team"... but in Northern Virginia you'll find a resilient, often job market, albeit with a higher cost of living. The Richmond and Hampton Roads areas aren't doing too bad, either.
While I'm not suggesting to anyone that Virginia is the "best place to live"... but as someone who feels "stuck", you may want to know that there are alternatives nearby.
