Exactly! Why is this so difficult to grasp for 50% of our population? Throwing more government money (well are moeny stolen by taxes) won't help either.

It wasnt luck and I wasnt born where I live now. Alot of hard work in addition to having a very good family who sacrificed to allow me to get where I am. I wasnt born into opulence.
Another fact many liberals forget. Most of us had to work for what we have. Nothing was given to me either.

You must have missed the part where they said 'in addition to having a very good family who sacrificed to allow me to get where I am.' That's a key point also.

Please -- let's not unncessarily inject politics into this thread. Working hard is neither a "liberal" nor "conservative" trait. Taxes are a whole other beast, but working hard to earn a higher standard-of-living is something that Americans of every political stripe do every day.

Ahh I see now. We like to go political now and bash liberals just because someone backed you up into a corner. A true american would say we all need to come together as a country, not hate someone because of their political affiliation. Real conservatives wouldn't mudsling the other side.

But, to your disappointment, this is not about politics. Yes, you live in one of the few nicer areas of suburban Philly, good for you. We're all incredibly happy for you and wish we could be you. Do you go to McDonalds and kick the mop out of employee's hands too and call them lazy screwups for living in Camden or that massive part of Philly which is the combat zone?

Mr. Opinion is right. Show some more compassion for your fellow man. Most people have a run of bad luck now and again. And most people don't have the benefit of having a brady bunch family and a large trust fund accumulating interest in a swiss bank account....

The above comment is bodaciously hypocritical considering the source. Your posting history isnt exactly a champion of the cause for the plight of the troubled inner cities or Philadlephia.

I've never said anything negative about the inner city.

Lets leave my posting history out of this. This is not about me. I didn't know that in addition to your lack of compassion, you also keep tabs on peoples posts, like a moderator or something.

Many people see it, they are jut quiet about it and don't say much because it's not worth the trouble. It's not really worth it. I dunno why I even bother. You try to change the world and this is what you get in return, lol jk.

Truth is, the class/income gap is becoming wider. Shrinking middle class. I see it everywhere, even in this forum.

There would be more support for Bleeding heart ideas if they weren't accompanied by blatant bullcrap. Swiss bank accounts? Please, you really believe the 4.5 out of 5 million of us in Philly metro who aren't in poverty all have Swiss Bank accounts? I can't believe you didn't LOL when you typed that...

Why isnt it about you? You brazenly got involved in the discussion, nobody forced you to expose yourself as a hypocrite. You did it all yourself. You've been demeaning Philadlephia and all its ills on this board for awhile now, all of the sudden because you are looking for an argument you become Mother Theresa . Take it down the street kid. You are here to play games, I'm trying to help people out if I can.
