I tend to do better with private rental listings as owners are willing to come down on rent due to me working in university, single, no smoking etc.

How can I find private rental listings as opposed to rental agencies ?

I would check out allaroundphilly.com and look under real eastate classifieds. I found my 1st apartment this way, and it was a 2 bedroom with my own parking, a wahser and dryer, cable, etc.
