How about Conshohocken, Bridgeport, West Norriton, East Norriton? If schools are not an issue, you should just move to the cheapest safe place that meets your criteria...

Thanks, it's not for me though, and these people do have kids. Schools are actually one of the highest priorities.

Look into Mount Laurel and Marlton. Very similar to cherry hill. slightly newer housing stock. Taxes are def. lower in Mt Laurel then CH - not sure about Marlton.

Commutes to Philly from Marlton or Mt. Laurel will be longer than a half hour (at rush hour).

Not necessarily - depends exactly where in Philly. I can get from my home in Mt Laurel and over the Ben Franklin Bridge in 30min leaving at 7:15am (taking rt38).

King of Prussia is a good suggestion (Upper Merion Twp.) So is Plymouth Meeting in PA. Marlton too.
I also live in Cherry Hill & will have my house on the market soon.

Moorestown is similar to Haddonfield. If you mean Moorestown, Mount Laurel, & Marlton, you have to say that. No one would assume that you mean all three if you only say one of them. I think what you actually mean is Mount Laurel, Evesham, & Voorhees.

Ie; Big box stores and supermarkets close by, newer housing stock and realtively inexpensive?

Any ideas on Cherry Hill alternatives, or is that the best of that genre in the area?

I am thinking Moorsetown, but that's a bit more expensive. Any ideas?
Look in Mount Laurel, lots of new big box developments, several of them upscale, much more spread out and than CH. ML has great access to 295 and 38 which is you gateway to everything - Philly, the shore, NYC, central and northern NJ. Can't beat the location. Schools are good too.

You'll get less house for your money in Moorestown.

One thing to be wary about when it comes to Mt Laurel - the traffic is HORRIBLE!!!! Almost every road leads to either rt 70 or rt 73 - both of which travel at speeds of 10mph during rush hour and rush hour lasts from 3pm-6pm and is AWFUL. one time it took me about 45 minutes to go 3 miles on rt 73... Just a forewarning. It's better to be closer to 295 when talking about driving in S Jersey.

I don't mean all three.

Moorestown Township is 15 square miles. The old part of Moorestown, the part that's like Haddonfield, takes up about 3 square miles of it. The rest of the township is expensive subdivisions that have been built mostly in the last 25 years.

In that regard it's not unlike Mt. Laurel or Marlton.

Moorestown is twice the size of Haddonfield, which is on a train line and has a more urban flare. Moorestown is old money meets new money and was quaker founded on agricultural roots.
