You'll definitely do better for you money in PA as you already pointed out. You're not going to read this on this board but you deserve to know what is actually going on. While many towns on the Main Line are nice, you should be aware that the best days are behind it. Many of the grand Main Line mansions are now converted condos, etc and population is slowly leaving the area. Not exactly a good mix for long term investment. Housing prices are really getting slammed as well as more and more people no longer want 4,000-5,000+ square foot houses. The towns are quite small and don't offer the same amenities as those in NJ. Gladwyne, for example, has no main street. Not intending to sound like I'm slamming PA but once you get off the Main line you'll find drab surroundings. Good luck with your decisions!

Yes it does seeing how you have no verifiable facts to back up your claims.

PROBABLY dos not equate into fact. If you are going to make pretentiously brash claims like that you need to provide a legitimate source that backs that bravado up.

I provided a source that rated Moorestown Friends as the 19th ranked private school in the region. Now its up to you to provide a legitimate source saying its #1 in the philly region. Sorry but PROBABLY is not a legitimate source.

Good luck JA mom.Episcopal Academy used to be located next to St Josephs University in Merion. Episcopal sold their campus to ST Joes and built a new campus a few miles away in Newtown Square.

Here is a good article by Philadlephia Magazine discussing the new Episcopal Campus and the high stakes of private schooling.

Class Acts: The $212,000,000 School

Led by Episcopal Academy and its new 120-acre campus, Philly’s elite private schools are in the midst of a billion-dollar building binge. Is it the rich getting richer, or the shape of education to come?

Sounds like a baiting post. Nice job Rocker. I, suggest, however, you re-read my post and make an attempt to understand what is going on over there. That is factual and you know it. Or maybe you don't.

You are kind of a one trick pony arent you?

We've been down this road before. The top of the housing in Moorestown is equivalent to the bottom of the market in Gladwyne,Villanova,Merion.Moorestowns mansions are tantamount to the Main Lines teardowns. You are transfixed on New Jerseys high real estate taxes which unbeknowst to you is a mirror of the horrendously bad NJ state government than it is as a prestigious place to live.

There is absolutely no comparison between the Pa burbs and South Jersey. The Pa burbs resemble the wealthy North Jersey suburbs. South Jersey is a little wet behind the ears still, Its going to need 30-40-50 years to catch up to the Pa burbs.

Rocker, No sense in turning this into a pissing match
Lol. You wish South Jersey had the goods to get into a pissing match with the Main Line. You continually come over to the Pa. board to get abused harrassed and humilated. I personally enjoy helping out in making you look tragically foolish.I dont get it but whatever floats your boat.

I think my contribution to the board has been enlightening to all as to the attractiveness of the two locations. Obviously you are pissed off enough to 'abuse and harrass'. That's not my problem, it is yours. I'll continue to hang my hat in the #1 town in America, you continue to hang in Villanova with its 3,999 other residents and 12,000 square foot homes for sale for a measly $5 mill.

I think J&Amom said the surrounding Main Line area was the most beautiful horse country she has ever seen. Although she did mention that a block away from Haddonfield NJ she made a wrong turn and ended up ina very run down section
