Default Far western 'burbs

Trying to get opinions on the far western suburbs of Philly. Places like Morgantown, Honey Brook, Elverson. Would work local in health care field so commute doesn't matter. Seems to be plenty of travelling type positions in these small town nursing homes, so I'm wondering why they can't maintain staff (facility caused or geographical area caused)
My questions: are they any different from each other? They seem to kind of blend in together. Would you consider them too rural for a ex NYC/LI person?
Thanks in advance for any opinions.

Honey Brook is the least rural as Downingtown is only a few miles away and it has a Wegman's, BJ's, chain restaurants. Further down 30 East you get lots of shopping in Exton.

That being said, Honey Brook is a rural and a hike to the city...like a 1.5 hour drive. We looked at homes there (very reasonable, very nice) but my 2 year old would scream after an hour in the car on the way to/from so that was enough for me.

We are living in Thorndale and love it as it is wooded but also plenty developed and only a few miles from the amenities mentioned above. There is also access to Septa Regional Rail and Amtrak close by.

For someone used to the city, you probably would want West Chester or Media as they have a walkable downtown area - Media puts you within 30 minutes of the city limits...
