Default How to make local phone calls in philly ?

I think philly has two area codes; how do I make a local call from my landline ? Does an area code need to be put in ? This is for verizon

If the area code 215, 267 or 610 (western suburbs), you need to dial the area code even if it's the same as the one you are dialing from. You do not need to put in the "1" before it though. (Which you need to do for area codes in other parts of state and the rest of the country.

All calls require an area code (it's called 10 digit dialing) If you are calling outside your area code (to another one) then prefix it with a one. Calling within your area code don't add the one, just the area code. This was supposed to be an alternet to adding a new area code every five years and making people and business's change their stationary.
