Not saying you're right or wrong, in fact I think judging a district as a whole is futile because it all comes down to a child's classroom experience and all districts have effective and ineffective teachers. But I work in the field as well and most people (parents and educators) I know perceive Upper Dublin and Wissahickon as better districts. North Penn is a much bigger district, so there might be more they can offer in some ways and I think they have some good professional development standards, but most people would not single it out as THE best district in the area.

Would you know if Lansdale schools -- have been in the upswing in the last several years, there is any change in the demographics, etc. to move it into the top caregory?

intensive funding!
dont let the parents who assume things about white kids in old money areas fool you with their assumptions and hearsay.
the only other people who have direct access to this data and do what i do...i know who they are. they work under me

it's missing personality, a heartbeat, and a soul

Lansdale
--------
(1) Other than boring, does it have a reputation for being too religious/conservative, or anything like that, which one should take into consideration?
(2) As for location, I am hoping a <1 hr station-to-station SEPTA ride take me to CC? I will be trying out this ride while I am there in the next few weeks.
(3) Anyone knows of any streets/subdivisions to look into for upper middle class (350-400K) housing?

1 - Funny. Yes, it is a little boring, but.... It is in a less intensely-developed area, and north/west of Lansdale is more rural, so it is going to be stereotypically more religous/conservative than other areas such as Lafayette Hill/Conshohocken/Plymouth/Blue Bell or the Main Line.
2 - If I'm not mistaken the R5 from Lansdale to CC is around 50-55 minutes. I believe you can catch an express that will get you there quicker.
3 - I don't know if $350-400k counts as upper middle class anymore, but there is a nice development right behind Lansdale Catholic. I don't know the name but there are streets such as Addison Lane and some streets with Catholic-sounding names because the land was sold by the Archdiocese to a developer years ago. It is bordered by Line Street and Lansdale Avenue, among others. There's plenty of other developments but they are usually more than $400k. There's also homes with character in Lansdale that are in the $300k's.

At this point, that area is so suburban that I don't think that would be an issue.
