Default Why I love Philadelphia

I don't have many friends here in Maryland. So, I sneak off to Philly and I find the citizens very, very open and friendly and open to conversation which makes it a lot of fun...kind of like I have hundreds of "friends." Like one guy I met at Pat's introduced me to all his friends and we talked and another guy I asked directions then started a conversation, telling me about the political divisiion between Pat's and Geno's at 2 a.m., etc. And during the day people are willing to give me their cells so I can get from one destination to another and they are very very helpful and friendly. Even the "rough" looking ones have turned out to be very friendly when I approach them to get directions and chat.

Nice to read a post praising the citizens of Philly. I agree with you regarding the friendliness and honesty of the residents. I've lived here in Lancaster County for over five years after living in Philly for over 35 and the difference in attitudes is like night and day. Most people here keep their head down and act like you're not even there. Granted, Philly is not perfect but the warts and scars are make it the great city that it is.

I have a blog on this website on why to invest in real estate in Philly. It pertains to Philly's unique position of having 4 major medical schools within its city limits. Of course the friendliness of the people here contribute to that.

It is the land of Brotherly Love and Push You and Shove!
From the History to the Hogies, there's no place like Philadelphia.

Gotta agree. Im from the New York area and gotta say I like Philly more than NYC. Its more real. NYC has become disguistingly trendy and Im really hoping to move to Philly soon.
