Default Help with a Philly suburb
Please recommend a suburb that is as close to Center City as possible. I will be attending grad school at Temple and while I'm impressed with the East Falls/Mt Airy part our town, I would like more info on suburbs. I need something close to public transportation and city amenities. I don't want to feel completely isolated from city life. Any suggestions? TIA

Jenkintown - three train lines into CC and about 20 minutes to the Temple station.

Jenkintown, Elkins Park, Ambler. Easy access to the train with plenty of shopping and some walkable areas.
