Hello. I am a 22 year old student from Milwaukee and I will be doing some traveling to Philadelphia via Amtrak this March. My question is whether anyone from the area could let me know of some interesting, odd, or unique places and sights to see that do not fit the typical tourist-trap mold. My interests include architecture, industrial relics, jazz clubs, unique stores, etc... Although I won't have a car, I have no problem venturing into different areas of the city. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Alex

Mutter Museum - medical oddities.

For architecture I would highly recommend taking a walk through the victorian neighborhoods of University City. Between 38th and 47th Streets and Baltimore and Spruce. Take the 34 trolley from center city right up Baltimore Ave.
