thanks again. If you dont mind though, could you tell me about the north/east part of Doylestown vs. south Doylestown near Chalfont...the twp vs the Boro.... are they considered part of the same town? My husband will be travelling at least 2 weeks out of the month and doesnt mind the extra drive to Camden to keep us all happy and to find the right town. It also puts us real close to our family. Do they share the same rec programs? same government etc? thanks so much for helping me!

if you don't want to live in the city. Camden is hard to get to from pa. Philly stands completely between any pa suburb.

do you think that you could travel to any of the areas in pa in question to Camden during rush hour traffic in under an hour?

it's all one town.. Doylestown. same school district, same government, same high taxes. there are 3 schools though.. CB west, CB East and CB south.. depending on what area you live in. CB = Central Bucks. i'm not sure where the boundary's are though. you could probably find out if you goto their website. Central School District.
But like frank says.. It's a LONG commute to Camden, at least an hour. but if your husband doesn't mind the driving it's a great place to live. The northeast part of Doylestown is more "urban", more small townish. housing is closer together, lots of shopping, small salons, high end clothing shops, coffee shops.. stuff like that within walking distance. the south part is a little more rural.. some farms spread around the area, older houses are on larger lots and it's more spread out.. there are some new communities popping up in the area though.. it's an excellent place to raise kids.. it's safe and there's lots of activities going on for the kids.

absolutely! Fantastic place to raise a family. But keep in mind that if gas goes to the levels it went before keep at least $1000 a month for gas for the commute to camden

thank you all so much.....unfortunately i dont know where to go now! I'm a NJ girl (only been gone 5 years) but I dont want to go back to the big tax bills....Delaware Co. is too far for me mentally and physically, I still want to be able to get to NJ to see old friends and to get to the beaches...yes, I sound like I should go back to NJ....I just dont want to reduce my house by $100k because I have to give it to Uncle Sam.....sigh....where to go...where to go......guess its back to the drawing board on the NJ side...I really appreciate everyones insite!
