Default Horse Boarding Question - All Seasons in Perkasie, PA

Hello all...

Has anyone heard anything good, bad or indifferent about boarding horses at a farm called All Seasons? It's in Perkasie. I would really appreciate any feedback as this is a potential place for me to board all of my horses.

Thanks in advance!

All seasons stables, has a good reputation. Theyre actually right down the road from where i live, they keep alot horses there though. But they take good care of them, and theres plently of field around for them to run around.

Thumbs up All Season's Stables

I board my horses at All Season's Stables and its the best place my horses have been at. I own 3 and they always get fed, watered, put out. They have wide open summer fields, that are covered with grass, and nice winter fields. All fields usually have round bales so I know my horses are always eating. I hope this information helps anyone in finding a place to board your horses at.

Default All Seasons Problems

Now. This was more than a few years back. But, it might still be a valid problem with this facility.

If you are talking about All Seasons, in Perkasie-PA, on 5th Street, than you may have a problem having your horse there.

I boarded my horse Lilly there, somewhere in the year of 2000-2001. I realize a lot can change in 8+ years. However, it could actually be worse now.

When I left one time, Lilly's stall had plenty of shavings in it. Up past the bottom of her hoof. And, since her stall had a cement bottom, I was happy with this plan. I prefer matting, but you can't have everything you want.

I came back, less than 24 hours later and 90-95% of the shavings were gone. I'm bad with math, HOWEVER I could see cement everywhere.

Kathy (the farm owner at the time), said my horse ate it... I accused her 'people' of taking it. She kicked me out and I never missed her for it. I found a better facility up in Quakertown, PA. Lone Star. The owner is Chi.

Now, maybe that doesn't sound that bad to you. But, this should. About a year-two years later, I met a boarder who still had her horses at All Seasons. She said that they had gotten complaints about not feeding the horses.

I guess, those horses were also to blame for the situation they were in.

Be very careful about this place. Things do change. But, some people never do. By the way, be careful riding out on 5th street. It's a road, with a bunch of blind hills and crazy drivers. The road behind the farm, is a much better alternative. And, up the road, behind BCCC, is a nice trail. However, they allow(ed?) hunting back there... with bow and arrow. And, horses are easy targets for hunters who don't have the patience to identify their target. Where orange.

Thanks, after checking on it some more and just having that tugging feeling like something wasn't right, I decided to go with my gut feeling and not board my horses. It still is the same owner and it doesn't sound like things have changed very much. Thanks again though for the info, just means I made a good choice.

Good luck with finding a place that fits your and your animals needs. They are worth too much to waste their time at a less-than acceptable facility.
