We are relocating from Bergen County NJ to PA.
Our realtor gave us this list of towns to consider- yikes!

We have 600-800k to spend on housing (would like to stay at 700K though)

Doylestown Twp and Boro
Buckingham Twp
New Hope
Solebury
Upper Makefield
Washington Crossing
Newtown

Ideally I would love a home on the river or a lakefront of some sort (dreamin') after that obviously good schools for kids, great neighborhood, nice home...
Can anyone offer any thoughts on these towns??? I hear Newtown is yuppie..Doylestown Boro is quaint???

I have no idea where to start so we can figure out where to live...HELP!!!!

If you want water.. go with New Hope or Washingtons Crossing. Neither are too pretencious or "yuppy" feeling. Is your realtor local to this area?
