Cherry Hill is about 15 minutes away. While the PATCO highspeed line is very convenient, it only comes into center city Philly. So, if you come into the city for restaurants, etc. you would want to use that.

Did a bit of research on some of the stuff everyone talked about and I have one last question. What is Lindenwold, NJ like, particularly crime and the school systems?

If you go to the NJ Dept of Education (DOE) website and look for "school report cards" you can get data on any school district in the state.

Lindenwold has crime issues and I don't think that the schools are good. If you're looking in the are near the last stop on the PATCO line, I'd suggest Voorhees a couple of miles NE.

Default Camden...Philly Commutable towns

Collingswood, Haddon Twp and Haddonfield...great towns, 15 min to Camden or Center City...Collingswood probably being best bang for buck...property taxes will be high, but will meet all of your other requirements and those towns are solid.

Collingswood
Haddonfield
Cherry Hill
Voorhees, Somerdale: by Ashland and Lindenwold stations.

Along Kings Highway is a good place to start.
Near to Genuardis and Wegmans.
It's close to CH Mall and a lot of retail.
Boltbus to New York and Greyhound in Mt.Laurel;
very close to Camden and Philadelphia with PATCO nearby, and you're not at the east end of the line;
Cherry Hill Library (if in Cherry Hill)
Diverse population.
Close to NJ Turnpike and I-295.

The homes are mostly older, except new condos by the old racetrack, and taxes are said to be high though.

In Burlington County:
There's also Maple Shade. Maple Shade borders Cherry Hill and the state highways run through it. Though Maple shade isn't directly off PATCO and will require a drive to a PATCO park and ride. Marlton and Mt.Laurel will push the commute more, unless you look at a few neighborhoods with very close adjacency to the Cherry Hill or Voorhees border.
