Great. That's really helpful. I know I want to go to the 30th street station, but I didn't know about the amtrak routes. I'll check those areas out.

Have you considered Newtown or Richboro PA? 30 minutes from center city - GREAT school system - nice communities, lots of "culdesac" neighborhoods you described.. Has a cute center of town, not a lot of fast food/strips malls.. Something to consider.
