Default Affluence in Suburban Philadelphia

I just thought it would be interesting to share that every suburban "collar" county in the Philadelphia area (PA burbs) made the top 100 highest per-capita income counties in the figures released by the U.S. Commerce Dept. in April -- two of which were in the top 50 (2007 figures).

Here's how the counties stacked up:

Montgomery: #24
Chester: #37
Bucks: #83

Delaware: #100

Looks like the region is holding its own.

BEA : 250 Highest Per Capita Personal Incomes of the 3111 Counties in the United States, 2007

Very impressive. Outside of NYC(global capital) DC(nations capital) and Bay Area(silicon valley/best geographic location in the states/views) the Philadephia suburbs arguably are the wealthiest in the country. Not bad for an obscure inland locale.

Im going to take a page out of Moorestownresidents book and say if Delaware County didnt have Chester/Upper Darby it would be in the top 20 nationally in this category.

Speaking of Moorestown Lets get on the ball over on the east side of the river. Help the area represent.
