Default Commuting between King of Prussia and Perkasie

I'm considering renting in Perkasie (or nearby) for a few years while working in King of Prussia. It's because I'm interested in rural areas as well as Bucks County in general.

Am I absolutely insane to consider commuting between Perkasie and King of Prussia five days a week? I haven't found much evidence suggesting that I-476 is horrible between these two (I have, however, found some suggesting that it's bad on the way into Philadelphia).

Thanks for any insight you can provide.

It depends on what you can tolerate. 476 South to 276 West can get busy, especially at peak times. There is also talk of widening 476 between 276 and Lansdale to three lanes. In the long run, that would be good, but it could make for a worse commute while construction would be happening. I don't know how far off the start date for that project is.

Just throwing this out there but you might want to consider Exton/ Chester Springs which are extremely nice areas(mostly rural) and is an easy commute up 202. It would be 1/2 the commute of Perkasie.

Thanks for the responses. One of my issues with living over that way, rainrock, is that apartments seem to be more expensive than the ones I have found so far in Bucks. I intend to keep looking, though.
