I will most likely be relocating for work in Malvern. Here are my priorities:
1) Reasonable commute 40 min or less.
2) Safe places to run. I am a 48 year old woman. Would prefer not to be surrounded by highways as I don't always want to drive to where I might run.
3) A place with a vibrant community for a single person my age and that would be conducive to making friends. I will be leaving all my friends in Maine.
4) Proximity to one of the many local running groups I have found on line. I figure this will be my main source of meeting people.
5) My kids are college age and out..19 and 22 and I need space for them occasionally but not school. Looking for a townhouse or condo situation.
6) Not sure how much I will have to spend after selling my home here, but anticipate price range of between $265-300k depending on how the house sells here..

Chester Springs, Marsh Creek area would be nice. West Chester would also work and so would Malvern area for that matter.

You might consider doing a short-term rental for a couple of months before deciding on a place to buy. That will give you a chance to get a better feel for a place before deciding, a much better choice than relying on the opinions of people who don't know you.

Try looking in places along the main line like Bryn Mawr and Narberth, as well as Media and West Chester.

yes. I will probably be staying at my brothers for a couple of months at least untim my house here sells. I was hoping to just narrow down the suggestions of where I should look.
