Question (Penn: county, accent, cultures)

Hi I'm new here,on this site, I was born and raise in Bucks county,left in '77 still have all my relatives there. I'm in a writing class and we are doing something on "subcultures", I have picked the "northeast Philly".Why,because I guess I still have a accent that some will ask if I'm from there. So anyway, I wrote about the diffrent things we say that maybe they don't say in other parts of the state,and about things we like and have that maybe the rest don't, like Tasty cakes,pork roll,scrapple,etc. I need some more ideas to further my report,like rituals we have,things we say or call different. Ok that's enough. Oh yeah,what makes you a native Pennsylvanian? I look forward to hearing what anyone has to say. Thanks

Yes i was going to mention that parade ,I miss them and your right they are different and beautiful. Thanks anything else? What makes "you" a native,the lenghth of time your here or the fact you are born here,some are born here but may leave right away do you think they should be considered natives?Just questions I will need to answer, and get opinions on.
