I take train from Paoli to 30th street daily to work. Train station exits are blinded while exiting. It is a nightmare daily to exit the train station in the evening and in the morning for my husband who drops me and picks me in the evening from the station. It is very narrow road and it makes it very difficult to make a right or left turn on to the N Valley Road on both sides of the station in morning and evenings. Beacuse of the over bridge of the station, it blinds the drivers as the vehicles visibilty is very very poor for those who want to make left or right turns onto N Valley road. It is a big hassle while exiting the station as we cant see the oncoming vehicles from the N valley Road.

I take the R7 to Wyndmoor and back to Market East Station. Going to Wyndmoor on the weekdays is annoying because I work in Wyndmoor at the Pathmark and I get to work about 5-10 minutes late mid-day/afternoon trains runs between 31-27 minutes after the hour to Chestnut Hill East. I only take that train before work if I have something to do before work if I don't have something to do I just take the subway and bus at Olney. I always take the 6:09 back downtown. My other problem is on the weekends they run back downtown every 50 minutes after the hour...wait 51 minutes. I have to wait around at work to get the train back downtown. Other than that they are on time for the most part

It should be noted the Amtrak Keystone trains stop at Ardmore, Paoli, Exton, and Downingtown and function like SEPTA super express trains. These Amtrak trains are also only slightly more expensive than SEPTA.

Everything but Wynnewood and Jenkintown are fairly far out, especially West Chester. I would measure the difference between the Jenkintown and Wynnewood station to your probable neighborhoods and go from there.

We are on a farm next to a 700 acre Nature Preserve in Unionville-Chadds Ford school district but also 10-12 minutes from the Thorndale station of R5. Easy parking there and wonderful to get to Phila by public transport. Our renters don't seem to use the system as much as we do. My daughter is in vet school at Penn and loves to do work or sleep on the commute by train. My other daughter used it to her college (Bryn Mawr) and also to get into the city. Need more service on Sundays, but the regional planners say they are working on that and on adding spurs. It is one of the things I love about this area-- really rural, great schools, easy access to a major metropolitan area!
