Default five mile woods yardley pa

I was wondering if anybody is familiar with this small park near the oxford valley mall. Is there a place to lay a blanket down and have a picnic. It is a nature reserve I believe.....not a state park..... so could I have a bottle of wine in the picnic basket?

Just trying to plan something inexpensive but romantic.

Thanks for any help.

I think it's actually all just woods. I never saw an area with grass to lay out a picnic blanket. It's basically a patch of woods wedged next to Route One that the community was successful in getting protected against development, but I've never seen it as a "destination." I know someone who took his kids there for some kind of educational nature walk to learn about bugs.

You might do better going to Tyler State Park in Newtown. Lots of places for picnics, and a good mix of wooded areas and grassy areas.

Then there is Core Creek Park in Langhorne. A lot of people go there, and there are lots of bicyclists and dog walkers. I don't like it much, as it's not very wooded and I think it's a "fake lake" (man made).
