Default Cab from airport to Broad/Ritner in So.Philly

I've got a two hour layover next Tuesday in Philly and I REALLY want to grab a cab and go to South Philly for my favorite hoagie at 16th and Ritner.

Does anyone know the approx cost and time it would take to do this? It's roughly 6.5 miles one way and I plan on calling ahead so my hoagie is ready when I arrive.

I only get to visit your great city once or twice a year and I NEVER pass up the opportunity to eat while I'm there. I've never been so excited to have a layover before. You who live in Phila. are so lucky

I know a lot of cab companies do a standard fair of $26.25 to get into Center City, not sure what the difference would be for South Philly. You can try to get a good idea of it here: Taxi Fare Finder Philadelphia - Estimate Your Taxi Cab Fare and Rates

Also, if you're public transportation savvy, you could consider taking the R1 train to Suburban Station, and switching to the Broad St subway line south to Oregon and walking the 4 blocks. You could do that all for the $10 purchase of a one-day pass. (Probably not a good option if you're going to be carting luggage with you). SEPTA

Hope that helps!
