Best I've had (and my cheesesteak experience isn't all that great, I'm more of a wing man myself) was from this crappy hole in the wall pizza joint in my terrible neighborhood, the name eludes me right now, but the cook was some old Dominican guy, and if you wanted he seasoned the steak with all sorts of spices, it was awesome.

My wife and father-in-law ordered from Geno's when we were down there a couple of weeks ago and she wasn't that impressed and said they were kind of rude. I thought it was alright, but there was a place in Langhorne across from Sesame Place that my wife and I thought had good Philly Cheese Steaks.

Don't go to 9th and Passyunk.. both Pat's and Geno's are terrible. Tony Luke's is pretty good, I also like Jims at 4th and South, although they are a little skimpy with the meat and the Jim's on Bussleton ave is hit or miss IMO.

It is NOT Geno's or Pat's. We went down there last night to do our own research. Geno's is better mainly because their rolls are tastier, but neither is a memorable food experience.
We went there because a family member wanted the full tourist cheesesteak experience.
Our research indicated that we should have headed to *****'s in NE Philly or Delessandro's in Roxborough.
For many decades the best "Philly Cheesesteak" was at Rene's in Levittown. Alas, the place is long gone.
