Default Commute to Horsham

My husband will be starting a job in Horsham. How far southwest will a 45 minute commute during rush hour get him? What can he expect at rush hour?
Thanks!

All depends on where he's headed. You should supply a destination to get help here.

Horsham to West Chester, Chadds Ford,Unionville would be a tough daily commute.Doable but a long commute. There are closer options, just as nice if not better landscape, with better schools closer to Horsham.

Tredyffrin
Valley Forge
Great Valley
Malvern
Chester Springs
Gulph Mills
Kimberton
East Vincent

That's a pretty good list. The rough part of the Philly area is that it's really difficult to commute from one quadrant to the other (IE, northern suburbs to the western burbs). There's lots of good people I know at work, but I can never see them outside of work because they're an hour and a half away. Life's much more enjoyable if you can keep most of your commuting in one part of the city/suburbs.

Where will he be working in Horsham? I used to live and work in Horsham. Getting out of Horsham at 5:00 pm in itself can be tough. Getting to the turnpike can take 15 minutes alone (it's only a few miles away). All the back roads heading in different directions also get backed up because they are only two lanes. It does sound like he'll have a long commute but I know others who work in Horsham that commute to Princeton, NJ and further. If you decide to move to Horsham they have blue ribbon schools.
