Default Apartments near VA hospital
I'm hoping to get a job at the VA hospital, and wondering what are some safe & affordable areas to live in Philadelpia. Is the area near the Veteran's Hospital considered a safe area? I'm looking to rent an apartment for $600-$1000. To get something affordable and safe, am I going to have to live far from the VA? I would appreciate any suggestions that you want to give.

Boeing is on a distinguished road
I've never lived there, but the neighborhood is mostly all college students. University City is fairly safe, and the prices should be at your level. There should be plenty of apartments near by, just don't go too far west :P
