It is probably too late now, but aside from the historical sightseeing I recommend the bar Mcglinchies on south 15th and Latimer between Walnut and Pine. Undoubtedly the best bar in the US. Belly up to the bar and order a Guiness and a shot!

i don't know about that, McSorley's in Manhattan could give it a run for its money

Mc Sorleys wins hands down but there are many better bars in the US than even those two and i do love those two both. McGlincheys needs to wash their glasses out and their hoses, the beer is way skunky.

Yeah all I remember about McGlinchey's was it was smokey (this was 17 years ago) and everything was filthy! I didn't get it then, don't get it now. I like my dive bars but the glasses have to at least be cleaned properly for chrissake!
