Default where are the family oriented neighborhoods in the philadelphia surburbs

We are looking to relocate to the Philadelphia area from Harrisburg. I have two children under the age of seven. I'm looking for good school districts. I heard Montgomery and Delaware counties are good. Any towns in specific? Like easy access to shopping areas. I wouldn't mind driving up to 30 minutes from the city not counting rush hour traffic. Thanks.

There are dozens of possibilities. People could offer feedbck if they knew where you would be working, how much to spend, etc.

What price range are you looking for? I would recommend Chester County over most of Delco, save Media and Wallingford-Swarthmore.

are there NON family oriented suburbs that are not decayed former industrial towns in America? Hell even THOSE can be family oriented, just lower income.

Stick to Delaware & lower Montgomery counties if you want the 30 minute commute to Phila. Chester County will be too far.
There are plenty of family oriented suburbs within 30 minutes of Phila.- Narberth, Lower Merion, Ardmore, Havertown, Drexel Hill, Springfield, Ridley Park to name a few. All these areas have good access to shopping and range from excellent to good school districts.
