Default Help with Apartments and locality in Philly

Hello All,

I am relocating to Philly next month. I will be working in the Newton Square area. I am on a wheelchair and prefer driving on my own to most places. Could you please recomend some safe apartments for rent with free parking that are close by to Newton Square and close to grocery and general shopping?
Also in general which are the good areas (name of town) to live in that are closeby (max 20 to 30 min drive) to Newton Square. What is the per month rent I am looking at for a 1 bedroom apartment?
I always lived in small towns and got used to friendly people, fresh air and well spaced housing. I hope I am not asking for too much in a big city like Philly?

Appreciate your feedback. This would help me plan properly and not get into trouble when I arrive there. Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Ac

Newtown Square is a suburb of and not a part of Philadelphia. So, living there would not be living in a big city, but rather a small town, yet you would be close enough to the city to come in an evening.

Here is an apartment that got good ratings on apartmentratings.com

Newtown Towers Apartments Ratings, Reviews, Map, Rents, and other Newtown Square apartments for rent from ApartmentRatings.com

If you go to that page, you can also see towns near Newtown Square and check the ratings for the apartments there.

One more thing, for grocery shopping, you may want to consider online shopping at www.Genuardis.com. (I live in center city and don't have a car and find this a great service).

Good luck.
