I often confuse Girard with Spring Garden. In my head I get the locations of those two streets reversed.

I travel along Spring Garden a lot, and often mistake that street for Girard. Spring Garden east of Broad is a bit gritty, but west of Broad is quite nice.

Overall, Girard is much sketchier than Spring Garden since it is closer to North Philly and the Temple University vicinity.

I'd say Girard east of 33rd all the way to 26th is "gritty", I drive it often
but it's not pretty.
