Default girard ave broad street line stop

Hi, I'm a 22 year old guy attending Temple Law School in the fall, and I'll be living in a house on 19th st between Poplar and Parrish st. Since the law school is right off broad street, I'll be taking the subway to school everyday. I was just wondering whether it'd be safe for me to walk to the Girard Ave subway stop everyday. It's a bit closer to my house than the Fairmount stop, and closer to Temple.

yes, though until you learn the area, I'd start with 19th to girard but you might find you're comfortable with ginodo to 18th to girard. Use extra caution late at night. also, be aware, if you're going out in center city, there's the 33 bus which runs to/from center city 24 hours a day. it's much slower and runs less often than the subway so I'd use it for that reason only when you feel it's really necessary. of course, it's faster if you're going to rittenhouse or west market and provides door to door service if you're goin got the reading terminal.
