This move really made me care a lot less about the Eagles this year.

Oh well, Philly is a baseball town now anyways. Go Phils!
That could be fun. Stage a counter PETA protest. Call it a tailgating party and bring the brats! Be sure to put up your own PETA sign, People Eat Tasty Animals.

I hope the fans throw Milk Bones at Vick.
This could be a problem for when they play the NO Saints since Gumbo the St. Bernard is their mascot. Perhaps NOPD will provide security detail for poor defenseless Gumbo.

The hypocrisy know's no bounds.
Personally I think Pete should have been put in the baseball hall of fame for his playing days. His betting was in his coaching days,...I think. On pure talent alone he deserves the spot.

My uncle use to be a hardcore drug addict. He eventually cleaned himself up and has been clean for over ten years now. He was lucky that he found someone willing to give him a chance at a job. I'm not even going to attempt to defend his crime. But I wouldn't say he doesn't deserve to work in the job he's trained to do. If he can't play pro-football then the only other job he's qualified for is to act as a football coach for high school or college (on the coaching squad). What high school or college would want him? Universities know if they hired him even to be a towel boy they'd loose money from their alumni and boosters. At high schools the parents and faculty would be all over the school board meetings and the schools wouldn't want that kind of national publicity. If he can still play then let him play. Do you really think he should be punished for the rest of his life after already having served his time in prison?

The Eagles organization also lies through it's teeth.

In an interview with ESPN's Chris Mortensen it was stated that the Eagles had been in "talks" with the Philadelphia area SPCA prior to the announcement and that they were in the loop. Why then was the SPCA quoted as saying they were blind-sided and barred from attending the press conference where the Vick announcement was made? Chase Utley's wife, a prominent SPCA member, was not allowed to attend the event and was interviewed on Fox29.

This isn't about fielding a better team, it's about the greedy Eagles organization looking to profit/exploit Vicks name in licensed NFL apparel sales to minority customers.

Does OJ Simpson ring a bell?

OJ was deemed innocent of murder but not of his latest crime for which he went to prison.
