Center City best place to watch NFL football
I'm meeting a friend in either South Jersey or Philly but am leaning towards Center City to watch some NFL football. Here is what I am looking for:
1) A real sports bar, not a nightclub with direct TV
2) Good bar food
3) Good beer, micro beer or beligiums preferred. No Killians, Yuengling and Coors light are not what I had in mind. When I am in Philly I live in Monks and Eulogy
4) Volume on the games not music.
5) Many many TV's so I can watch all of them at once.
Any ideas???

You can try just about any corner bar in center city, Irish Pub, whatever. However, the best sports bar in the region is Champps in Malton, NJ. You'll be making a big mistake not going there, they have a huge bar with a ton HD TVs, a huge wall panel TV and hot chick bartenders. You can literally spend all afternoon and night out there. Nothing in Philly compares.

I don't know about the beer question, since I personally don't drink beer, however I know The Fox & Hound and Chickie's and Pete's are popular.

is Champ's that chain? if so, blows. been in its other location. the de facto champ is the south philly chickie and pete's. at any rate, if you're watching philly sports, there are tons of options. most philly sports bars are bars with good tv's, not sports bars proper (meaning, showing everything from the eagles to ping pong championships). miconduct is a good place

Champps in Marlton is da bomb for watching sports. The other location is Penn's Landing which sucks. C&P's is highly overrated, but for Philly, it's about as good as it gets. Philly needs a legitimate sports bar for all of you entrepreneur's. Philly couldn't even handle a Hooters at Penns Landing. Hooters never goes out of business at any other location.

Chickies & Pete's in South Philly or the northeast are the best bets for a big sports bar experience. But if you are looking for a small pub full of real fans go check out O'Neals on South St.
