Am leaving Baltimore for a job in Lincoln/Oxford, PA...looks like Wilmington is a reasonable commute. Is it? I was hoping Philly was, but I'm not so sure.

I lived in Charles Village in Baltimore to give some idea of what I'd be looking for--urban environment; able to walk to a yoga class and then to a convenience store on the way home.

I'm a single kind of artsy girl with no children.

I'd be renting to start (but don't care for big complexes). Green space is probably asking too much, huh?

Thanks for any help.

There are some towns west of Philadelphia (like Media or West Chester to name two) that could work for you. Newark, DE (home of the University of Delaware) would be a solid choice too. Bel Air wouldn't be too bad either. Out of the aforementioned places, I'd look at Newark first.

In terms of cities, you could also look at Lancaster in addition to Wilmington.

Thanks...
I rode through Newark this weekend just to survey the route from DE to PA.
Main Street (which runs right through UD looked fun--although I prefer to have a little time away from 18-22 year old after work!

I'm gonna look into the other cities you suggest as well.
