Default Charcoal grill in Center City?

Thinking about moving to Philly and taking a position near Suburban Station. I'd prefer to find a place to live close by in Center City. For now I would probably rent a 1 BR. I love to grill outside and also have a Weber charcoal smoker that I would like to be able to use. I understand that Philly fire code prevents the use of charcoal on combustible balconies. Are there any first floor apartments that have a small patio where a grill or smoker would not be unwelcome?

Look for an apartment with a courtyard. I would suggest checking in Queen Village. When I lived there, there was plenty of grilling going on.
