Suburban Philadelphia
Which of the following neighborhoods is the best for raising a family and is an easy commute to the city. I'm looking for cheaper prices, good schools, safety, and good location to shopping/entertainment
Bridgeport, Norristown, Bryn Mawr, Radnor, Ardmore, Phoenixville, and Conshohocken

Except for the cheaper part Ardmore or Bryn Mawr. It's the Main Line.

With the exception of Norristown they'll all meet your criteria in one way or another - but those other towns represent a wide range of housing styles and prices. Conshy and Bridgeport are pretty blue collar. Bryn Mawr, Radnor and Ardmore are at the other end. Phoenixville is a hike from the city.

Phoenixville schools aren't so great. Nice downtown, cool Victorian vibe though. Not very good access to PT. Bridgeport has a pretty tight housing market (it's tiny) but the school district (Upper Merion) is good. Low cost of living. Conshohocken is getting built up, lots of condos and younger folks...the school district (Colonial) there is ok. If you want a house with a yard, forget about Conshy or Bridgeport. Norristown has some very bad parts , some very nice parts, and the schools are actually not bad. Norristown has some really nice old houses too, good value for the money. PT access in Conshy , Bridgeport, and Norristown (transportation hub there) is fine.
Bryn Mawr, Radnor, Ardmore: good schools, not cheap to live there, more suburban than the locales listed above.

A possible. Don't stop there however. There are hundreds of other towns that meet your criteria.

Where will the breadwinner(s) be working? And what is your preferred price range?

The breadwinner would be working in Philadelphia. And the price range is pretty much anything below $350,000. I like Bridgeport a lot because it seems to have a low cost of living, good schools, and excellent public transportation to the city. I can park for free at King Manor and take the route 100 to 69th street and the MFL into the city.
