How in the world can we know if the transportation will take you to work if we don't know where you work?

There are some pretty decent neighborhoods in South Philly and near northeast Philly that you can afford. Public transportation can probably get you to work and it is reliable but it may take awhile if you need to make a lot of changes en route. It depends on where you work in relation to where you live.

$0 rentals are currently not available.

$600 would be a compromise between convenience - assuming you're going to be working in Center City - and quality as perhaps safety as well.

As much as SEPTA's performance gets a bad rap, its reach is pretty extensive. Of course, as others have said, more details would help us help you.

fairmount has some nice and fairly inexpensive rentals that you might be able to afford and it is walking distance to the city, assuming that's where you work.

Just move to Drexel Hill or Secane or Springfield...avoid city wage tax and good access to public transportation in safer neighborhoods...
