Default Is it safe during the night in University City?

I am coming to US this summer. My plane will arrive on 5:30 PM in Newark, and then my train will arrive in Philly on 9:00 PM. Then I will take a taxi to my rent room on 45th- Larchwood street. So is this safe?

You will be fine, just use common sense. Be careful in Newark.

45th and Larchwood is fine. As newmarlig said, common sense and street wisdom are always helpful, especially in a large, unfamiliar city. Some neighborhoods start to get a little more challenging west of 50th Street or so.

You won't see any of Newark as there is a direct walking overpass from their airport to the train area.

You may also want to consider taking:

Philadelphia Airport Shuttle and Van, JFK Airport Shuttle and Van, Newark Airport Shuttles and Vans. Airport Van Service. Pier Transportation, Charters, NJ limo, PA limo, Phila limos, Bucks limos, Montgomery County limo. Dave's Best Limousine Service

It's $55.00 from the Newark Airport to your door, and it might be easier than having to carry your luggage from the airport to the train.

Thank you. But I think this is expensive. If the train is safe, I would prefer to take the train because the train ticket is free from the airline. I don't mind taking five luggages to the train, because I am a MUSCLEMAN !

Thank you. I have decided to have a try with this service. But the link you gave me doesn't work.

That's funny, it worked fine for me. Try googling Dave's limo and click on the first entry.

Maybe you are in US. I cannot open the site from outside of US, but I can open it using a proxy. In addition, I don't have a US phone number. So does this service require a US phone? I mean, after I arrive, how to get in touch with them?

You make arrangements in advance on the phone, telling them date, flight, no. etc. There will be a bank of phones in the airport where you pick up your lugguage. One of those phones will be to them. After you get your luggage, you call from that phone and you will be picked up.
