Hi, I'm a young woman thinking about moving in to an apartment complex right on the edge of W Mount Airy and Germantown on Johnson St & Wayne Ave (across the street from the Unitarian Church). Does anyone know if that is a safe area? I will be driving home from work during the evenings sometimes, but the parking area is not too far from the apartments.
Thanks so much for your help!

Generally an OK area, but that corner is a little funny in that you have schools on two of the four corners, the church and the street gets cut off by Lincoln Drive and the train tracks right nearby, so it may seem pretty deserted in the evenings.

I grew up on Johnson Street. You'll be fine.
