Hi, I'm looking for a public pool in Delaware County. Does one exist? Or do I have to trek out to Marsh Creek? Thanks!!!

Springfield Country Club I believe is still open to the public.

Hidden Hollow + Knowlton swim clubs in Middletown(near Linvilla Orchards) you need to be member but its only $275 for the season. Might be worth it if you plan on doing alot of swimming/relaxing this summer.

We belonged to Hidden Hollow when we lived in Delaware County for a year or two and it was great. Beautiful clean pool. However, we found that because we didn't live close we didn't know anyone and we didn't use it enough to make it worth the cost. That said, if you live close to it and your kids like to swim, this would be a great option.

Why can't Delco offer Free public swimming as Phila does, for the kids? What about families who can't afford to pay the ridiculous prices of the swim clubs?? That's not fair to all the other children and families. Are they any less important because they can't afford the high prices? So they're supposed to bake and not enjoy the summer? Anyone with any info on FREE public pools in Delaware County area please pass it on to: Ami at aneokle@yahoo.comThank you for your time.

Any luck in finding Free public swimming? You should NOT have to pay to go swimming and it wouldn't be too bad if they only charged a dollar or two per person per day. But that's ridiculous the prices these swim clubs are charging, including the YMCA...I checked out the swimm club by Linville Orchards, which my family frequents a lot. Our pool is down due to repairs so we were looking for a free public pool to go to once in a while just for the day. But we cannot afford those outrageous fees. If you hear of anything please let me know...I'd appreciate it. Ami..... aneokle@yahoo.com TY for your time and consideration and good luck to you.

If a public school has a pool, I've heard there could be limited times and limited charges for that. Depends on the school though. If the school has a pool not open to the public, guess you could provide the school with an incentive to pay a minimum fee to give another lifeguard a job!
