Being such a pessimist since day one (the nuclear holocaust is coming any day now!) the majority of my must's have already been checked off. World travels, check!

If there's still time left, I would like to throw my last remaining energies towards some pet political cause, like a physician's assisted suicide law for the state I'm living in, or a number of other pet causes that would leave the world a better place after I'm gone!

Looked at this thread again, and read all the postings and then looked at mine again.

It looks like I have a problem setting goals, and may be an under-achiever as well. It's the hobgoblin of consistency, I guess. My professional life from twenty-two through retirement was the same.

Finish restoring my creepy Gothic mansion

Make the perfect waffle

Spend a week in the forest

Let go of my past - forgive myself

Write my epitaph

1. See my children happy as they grow into adulthood.
2. Make a living out of painting.
3. Take my kids to the Grand Canyon
4. Take my kids to see a total solar eclipse.
5. Retire back to the UK in a house by the sea.

I've done 3 and 4 before but I want my kids to experience them too.
If I can acheive 5, I know I'll die happy.

Another bucket list movie?
Premise is wrong. Life is short, existence is eternal. Question is illogical. One that understands its eternity will not bother with things that pass by in lives.

1. Discover my family history.

2. Visit the countries where my ancestors came from. Travel the world. Have a little fun.

3. Live in a library or turn much of my house into a library.

4. Fulfill most or all of my smaller goals.

5. Find true love

Truth is, I wake up everyday fully prepared to die should it come to that.
I'm ready to go...I just don't want to do it myself. That seems defeatist. If I was meant to die, then I wouldn't have to cause it.
In the meantime, I'm just having a good time...
