Peace is known when our mind is completely silent, without a word, with the controlling of our thoughts peace comes into being, one of our great difficulties is that we really haven't felt this feeling of peace that complete absence of thought, it is awareness that overcome the power of the thoughts.

my humble opinion

Maybe so, but it'a completely useless and meaningless definition. Even a rock on Mars would not be at peace, but is slowly being tortured.

I don't see peace as merely the mind being silent, etc. though that can be one form of it.

It's more general and broad, such as the absence of worry, stress, discord, and problems, and leading to feelings of joy and ease and harmony. There can be a lot going on "upstairs" while reflecting on the positivity in that moment.

When you disconnect from your mind, as you can't turn it off completely, then all this:
absence of worry, stress, discord, and problems, and leading to feelings of joy and ease and harmony.

Becomes natural you.

And this is called samadhi.

Gita, you can't silence the mind. As when the mind is "silenced", who is the silencer?

True peace is absence of EVERYTHING. Mind and silencer included.
