Isn't it ironic that Science was originally inspired by Religion (in ancient Greece and Rome), and now, it is threatening to prove Religion false.

Not that I don't believe in Science..

Religion has had the effect of slandering God. Science is about being open to all possibilities. If people would understand that religion has always been politics and that religion and God must be separated THEN science and God could coincide and the modernization of the God concept with the help of science could take place. There are particles in quantum mechanics that exist...then disappear then pop back into existence..God is much like this...He exists and can stop existing - so God from a scientific point of view it totally possible. I love science...and I love the idea of God and I believe in God - not on a religious bases but one based in logic.

Only to the extent that scientists will acknowledge it is possible god can exist - and the only reason for this is, anything is possible that hasn't been proven impossible.

God is much like this...He exists and can stop existing - so God from a scientific point of view it totally possible.

Which one is it, he exists, OR it is possible he exists?

I believe in God

Belief is the process of non-thinking.

It is either logical or it isn't.

There are no proven scientific facts that contradict the Qur'an.

Modern science has verified more than a few things written in the Qur'an, that were not understood at the time the Qur'an was written. Just one example. In the Qur'an it speaks of waves beneath the surface of the ocean. this was revealed by God(swt) in the Qur'an. People of the era did not know or even understood that as they could not see it, with they own eyes.

But modern day Oceanography has verified that.

Of course this might be a simplification of the science. That, and I'm not doing a completely literal translation of the bible.

I had a post here a while back that mentioned a little about this.

In Hinduism the Earth is said to be four billion years old. The same age of the earth Scientists estimate.

And these past two posts (47 and 48 above) "verify" the existence of god?

Verifies, not necessarily proves.

Verb
  • Make sure or demonstrate that (something) is true, accurate, or justified.
  • Swear to or support (a statement) by affidavit.

I see Science as Verifying the existence of God(swt) not proving it. although the more verification there is, the stronger it is as supporting evidence.

As God(swt) is not part of the physical universe, measurable proof is not obtainable. Outside of faith we need to rely upon evidence and verification of supporting evidence.

I am fully aware I can not "prove" the existence of God(swt) through physical measurements. but I do find that science gives verification of supportive evidence. Therefore I find that science does verify God(swt) to me. I can not find as much as one proven scientific fact that contradicts the Qur'an or even sheds doubt on the existence of God(swt)

Can you name a single proven fact that contradicts the existence of God(swt) or is reason to doubt his existence?

Inability to find physical proof of something is not proof it does not exist.
