"the government will take care of you" is what the catholic priest says after "Be Fruitful and Multiply" to the dad who makes $7/hour and already has six kids.

You didn't say some, you said more than any other cause. Anecdotes and examples are not evidence for "most." Studies show that about 7% of wars were motivated by religion, which on the war front, is definitely not a major cause.

While not a particularly harmful lie/myth, the idea that religion is the major cause of wars is a pretty popular lie that continues to be propagated even though it is easily refuted with the evidence. Goes to show you that humanists and atheists are gullible just like the rest of the population.

If you like your insurance, you can keep it.

These sorts of things are entirely opinion, and therefore such impulse-laden answers can never even come close to being a reasonable response to the original thread topic. I would posit that the inverse ('that the government should NOT take care of you") is itself worse than that which you laughably proclaim to be the worst lie of all. Given your original statement, though, I'd be happy to take by force whatever artistry you claim to have taken taken gentle care to create.

But only given that original statement...for I support the arts, assuming that the artist isn't a presumably moronic Tea Partyer. What art results from that mindset, anyway...abstract renderings of the Confederate flag?
