While there are a few things that I would love to revisit, but for the most part, no.

I hated being a child. I was short, broke and powerless, and the taller people were very wrapped up in their own dysfunctions and mental illnesses. I couldn't wait to get a job and run my own life.

I do because my childhood was simpler and most people acted a lot better, including my parents, even though my dad was still feisty and didn't get along with most people. I have some unpleasant memories, but most of my memories of childhood (& my early teen years) are of the fun & carefree times.

I'm not happy being an adult primarily because of the teachings & influences of society regarding sex, sexuality and gender roles. As a non-sexual/asexual and adult society being obsessed with sex, I'm bombarded with messages from society to feel like a freak. I didn't feel this way in my childhood and early teens.

Also, not having to work gave me the time to enjoy life with friends & my siblings. Simple times of bicycling to the warf, skateboarding, going to events with them are my favorite memories. Even the memory of laying in the grass and watching the clouds go by when I was a kid gives me happiness & peace of mind. In hindsight, my childhood & early teens were paradise.
