Our existence as a species has no more inherent purpose (whatever that even means) than do sloths or goldfish or clams or oak trees.

Your individual purpose is whatever you wish it to be. Choose wisely.

It is a riveting question. What is the purpose of mankind? As a species we are physically weak compared to other species yet our intelligence allows us to harvest and transform the planet unlike any other species in good and bad ways and everything we do as a species impacts all other life on Earth.
Nature has a way of balancing itself with other species except for Humanity.

I agree with this. How anyone can profess to know absolutely why we as humans are here and what our purpose is is baffling.

As a species humans are exceedingly young species considering all the species that have existed, so I think that the final verdict on that remains to be seen.

Don't know, that's why I believe there's a God, somebody higher than any human that knows exactly why we are here

Wrong questions. There is no why we exist, we simply exist. There is no reason for it, and it is an irrelevant question. Why does the universe exist? Same irrelevant question. There is no why.

As to purpose, again wrong question. There is no purpose for life, except that which you design for it. So the correct question is: "What is my purpose in life"? Which means: "What is it that I want to accomplish with my time here in existence"? And the answer to that question lies within you.

That's not a good or sound reason. Defaulting to imagination is a mistake. The correct approach to the inability to answer a question is to keep trying or accept that a true answer is not possible in your time. Not to invent and postulate an answer that has no basis in reality. Discovery good. Fantasy bad.

The brain started growing when we supplemented our nut and berry diet with meat. We began to walk upright and this freed up our hands for tool making.

Our purpose in life is to reach an age where procreation is possible. Endorphins make procreation a daily pursuit.

Let me add this question: Why are we here? Ans. Because this planet became suitable for life millions of years ago. If we weren't here, then we would be asking this question somewhere else. We might look different like raccoons or some other creature with dexterity. Life adapts. Intelligent life evolves, probably from some ancient predator. That's why we should be careful about beaming radio waves into space.

Default Q:Why do we as Humans Exist?

A: To have fellowship with God. Simple. If you don't then nothing seems right.
