I'm afraid that, as you read this you have died. Your spirit goes to meet our maker. The maker turns and says...you're back. So, did you enjoy my beautiful home I made for you to play in with your brothers and sisters? Did you enjoy the gifts I gave you?
Did you play well together? Did you care for one another? Did you make amends when you did something wrong? Did you give thanks when someone did something right? Your life and choices made flashes through.
As you ponder these things, do you recall any unsaid I love yous? Fights that can't be undone, but you wish you could have apologized for if nothing else?
The maker continues...given what we see...if I have another world, would it be better or worse for all if I have you in it. In that world, would it be better to give you a position of authority to lead others, or should you be one of the least fortunate to learn humility?
The maker looks on at you with a mixture of happiness and sadness. The love is there, certainly, but all that is spoken is...try harder.
You awaken. What's your New Year going to look like?
